Candidates for the CPA examination must demonstrate that they have completed the following educational requirements in order to apply for the examination:
Bachelor’s or graduate degree awarded by an accredited higher education institution recognized by the Texas Board of Public Accounts (Board of Directors);

Meet the requirements of work experience (CPA supervision of the next year’s work experience)
Pass the examination of rules of professional conduct as determined by board rules
Swear to support the laws and constitution of the United States and this State and the rules adopted by the Board of Directors
